This is the Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit (works also with windows 8) compatible device driver for Chord Micro Mu Control Station. After many investigation I discovered that the USB MIDI interface of Chord Micro MU have the same hardware architecture of E-MU® Xmidi interface, so the driver you download is the original driver for E-MU® Xmidi interface but works fine with the Chord Micro MU and others similar keyboards. Instructions Install the driver. In your software (Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools, Reason; Reactor, etc, etc) , select MIDI IN, EMU Xmidi. Everything works fine. With Windows 8 is a bit tricky because the operating sistem replace the installed driver with the native driver that was inside Windows 8 installer. So after installing the downloaded Chord Mu / EMU driver go to the system settings and replace manually the Microsoft driver for the usb device with the EMU Xmidi driver. |

Akai EWI5000 midiBeam compatibility: we got a number of inquiries about this model.
We tested the new Akai EWI5000 with midiBeam. They work perfectly together, no doubt that midiBeam can replace a MIDI cable without any limitation. So, EWI5000 owners have at least two well justified reasons to extend their instrument with midiBeam:
1. While EWI5000 provides wireless audio with its internal sound engine, an external synthesizer (or a soft synth running on a computer) can be used only with wired connection - they didn't implement wireless MIDI transmission. For performing wireless MIDI you need our midiBeam.
2. Virtuoso players with fast playing technique will recognize immediately that the wireless audio transmission performed by the instrument has a significant latency. In fact, we measured 23.2 milliseconds exactly. If you want to play the instrument wirelessly without performance compromises we advise to use midiBeam and an external synthesizer.
